Pass valid dates
Valid dates for a pass can be set in two different ways:
1. By using the Time Span option on the SysManager > Activities > DCIs > New/Edit > General tab to dynamically set the valid dates based on the start date assigned at the time of sale.
Example:
A membership card expires 365 days from the date of purchase. To configure the valid dates for this type of a pass, the Time Span on the General tab would be set to 365 days. The starting and ending date fields within the Action Specifics button > Starting Values tab would remain empty.
2. By entering specific dates on the Action Specifics > Starting Values tab. This creates the same valid date range for all passes sold regardless of the sale date or start date assigned at the time of the sale.
Example:
Season ski passes for the upcoming winter are valid from opening day through closing day. These types of passes would have 0 set for a Time Span on the General tab and something such as 11/20/2013-04/18/2014 set for the start and end dates on the Action Specifics button > Starting Values tab.
