The SysManager > Activities > DCIs > New/Edit > Action tab > Create Pass > Action Specifics button > Autosale Options tab is used to specify what happens when a pass is scanned more than once in a single day (shift). This can be anywhere from doing all actions specified on the Auto Pass Validate and Auto Sales tabs each time the pass is scanned in the same day (Don’t Use Shifts option) or only the first time the pass is scanned in the same day (Shift = 1 Day option) or somewhere in between by selecting specific values to change upon subsequent scans (Shift = 1 Day with different values selected in the Rules For Validating More Than Once Per Shift section).

 

A membership card is valid for 365 from purchase. Each day that the membership card is scanned at the entrance, a $0 Membership Day Use item is auto-sold via ScanMan or GateKeeper modules. This allows the business to track its annual usage of membership cards. Because the Membership Day Use product is only sold the first time a valid member pass is scanned in a day, the operator selects the Shift = 1 Day option.

 

Any configuration on the Autosale Options tab affects all passes of that DCI – both existing passes and those yet to be sold.
