Direct-To-Lift functionality
Note: Direct-To-Lift is licensed functionality that must be purchased from accesso.
Automated sales allow the swipe or scan of a Salesware Access Control product to trigger the automatic sale (auto-sale) of a specific product or products. In one scenario of auto-sale functionality, a pass holder presents his pass at a ticket window and a ticket product is auto-sold. The pass holder is presented with a ticket, which he can then take to the lift. The passes are set up with a barcode or magnetic stripe so that if the pass is swiped or scanned, the ticket product is automatically sold. The pass is swiped or scanned and the sale is finalized – the correct product is sold without the operator having to select it. When the ticket window is taken out of this scenario and the pass holder takes his pass directly to the lift, where the pass is then scanned and a “ticket” is auto-sold (even though no ticket is produced), the process is called Direct-To-Lift.
Direct-to-lift auto-sale scenarios can be configured in a variety of ways. Similar to vouchers, a “ticket” can be auto-sold each time the pass is scanned or the pass can be scanned any number of times during a shift but the guest is charged just once per shift. Unlike vouchers, a Direct-To-Lift scan does not result in an account being charged when the pass is scanned; the guest’s credit card is charged directly.
