Configuration
Two fields within guest information in SysManager/Sales are used to determine whether or a not a guest is considered “notify-able” along with a customized message to include with the notification. The ability to edit these fields in both SysManager and Sales is security controlled.
More, “alert-able” activities were added to the Configure Notifications activity in SysManager. These new activities include:
1. When validations occur in either Sales/Sales Host or ScanMan/GateKeeper modules
2. When a guest is associated with a ResHeader/items in a sale
The guest validation notifications include the following information:
• Description of the activity that caused the notification
• Guest name and number
• Custom message configured for the guest
• Scan Location
• Salespoint
• Operator
• Date/Time
The guest ResHeader/item notifications include the following information in the message:
• Description of the activity that caused the notification
• Guest name and number
• Custom message configured for the guest
• Arrival Date if a ResHeader or Line Item Start Date and Item Description if guest is associated with a line item
• Salespoint
• Operator
• Date/Time
When a notify-able guest activity occurs in Sales, a Message dialog box with the custom guest text appears so the operator instantly knows they are dealing with a special guest. This is enabled by adding an option to the Configure Notifications activity to send to salespoint. (The Message box only appears at the salespoint that generated the activity.)
