BatchPrint criteria
There are a variety of options for deciding what passes to print.
1. Batches can be limited to a certain size. This allows the pass printer to be re-stocked with cards or ribbon at certain intervals. If limiting the size of a batch to a fairly small number (smaller than the estimated number of passes to be printed) make sure to take advantage of the application recording the Pass Number of Last Selected Pass. This allows you to re-run the same batch again starting right after pass number recorded in this field.
2. By Dept/Cat/Item. Users can limit the passes to print by any combination of Department, Category and Item.
Example:
If the user selects a starting and ending item of ADULT, all passes of type ADULT are processed, regardless of the department and category.
3. By Sale Date. Batches can be limited to passes created on any range of sale dates. This allows the users to print only those passes sold for the date range selected.
4. By Account. The user can specify an account or a range of accounts and print only those passes sold to those accounts.
5. By Salespoint and/or Operator. Batches can be limited to those passes that were sold at a particular salespoint or range of salespoints and/or a specific operator or a range of operators.
6. By how many times printed. The user can specify that passes only be printed if they have been printed X times or less. Set this to 0 to only print those passes that have never been printed before.
7. Limited to only those passes for guests who have photos. This allows passes to be skipped if a guest photo is not available.
8. Limited to Local Site Passes. This option limits the passes to be printed to only those generated at the current site. The site number listed in BatchPrint utility is the site configured in the Preferences > Company Information in SysManager. This setting only applies when using SQL Replication to merge pass data from multiple resorts or sites. If SQL Replication is not being used for this purpose, leaving this box checked or unchecked has no impact.
9. By Reservation Criteria. This option is available on the Passes on Reservations tab. If the Print only passes that are associated with reservations check box is checked, then only passes that were sold through a reservation are printed. The criteria for the batch can then be further defined by selecting:
• Pickup Loc. (Pickup location associated with the Reservation Header)
• Base Lodge (Base lodge associated with the Reservation Header)
• Accomod. (Accommodations associated with the Reservation Header)
• Source Code (Source code associated with the Reservation Header)
After selecting all of the various options available for filtering the passes to print within a specific batch, the criteria selected may be saved by clicking the Save button and typing a name within the Save Batch Criteria prompt. To load one of these saved batch definitions, simply select it from the Saved Criteria dropdown. All of the selections previously saved are then re-loaded. To remove one of the saved criteria definitions, simply select it from the dropdown and select Delete.
Note: Any combination of criteria can be used to filter the batch of passes to be printed.
