Printing passes

Passes may be printed out of Sales or SysManager. There are two basic options for printing passes in Sales: Printing upon finalization or printing passes independent of a sale.
A salespoint can be configured to prompt the operator to print passes any time a sale containing pass items is finalized. To set the salespoint up for this type of functionality, do the following:
1. In the Tools menu, select Sales Pt Setup, and then select Printing.
2. Set the Pass printer to NONE if the operator is prompted with a dialog that allows them to bypass printing or select a specific pass printer. This prompt is helpful in situations where pass purchases may be completed without the guest present and information such as an updated photo must be collected prior to printing a pass. This is also helpful when, depending on the pass purchased, a specific pass printer must be selected due to the type of card stock loaded into each pass printer.
3. Set the Pass printer to a specific card printer if the passes are always automatically printed to the specified printer each time a pass sale is finalized. With this option, the operator is never prompted with the Printer Selection dialog.

This automated pass printing may be completely turned off with the Sales32c.INI setting PrintPassOnFinalize=FALSE. With this setting in place, the passes never print upon finalization and the operator is never prompted with a Printer Selection dialog
Passes may also be printed independently of a sale finalization by looking up a guest in Sales through the Guest Lookup button and selecting a pass to print through the Pass Inquiry button. After pressing the Pass Inquiry button, the operator selects the pass to be printed and either double-clicks on the appropriate pass within the list or single-clicks to highlight a specific pass, and then clicks OK. On the Pass Information dialog, the Print button may be selected in order to print the pass.

Note: Passes that have expired or been voided (voided by and/or voided for fields are populated) is not printed.

There are Sales security settings available for restricting both first-time printing and re-printing of passes. These settings are: Sales – Print Passes (1st time) and Sales – Reprint Passes.
