Reprinting passes
Clients have the ability to reprint membership cards/ pass by selling a Reprint Card item. That item requires a validation from the original membership (pass) number. When the sale is finalized, a Graphic Ticket layout prints to the card printer that looks exactly like the original pass. This process tracks the number of times a member wanted his/her card printed within his/her sale history and allows for a fee to be charged for additional copies of the membership card. Sales then retrieves a local copy of the gst_passrecord when the validation occurs in order that it is accessible for printing at finalize.
When a member needs his/her membership card reprinted (not exchanged, but a simple reprint of the existing membership/pass), the operator adds the Reprint Membership item to the sale and validates it using the existing/current membership pass number. This associates the guest record with the reprint purchase so that everything is tracked in the guest history. At finalize, the member pays for the reprint and the Graphic Ticket layout (that looks just like the Pass layout) goes to the pass printer.
