Modifying passes

Pass records may be modified in either SysManager or Sales. SysManager allows access to various fields such as Total Uses, Points, Valid Dates, In-House Cards information and Checkpoint Scans, so care must be taken to prevent unauthorized access to guest records within SysManager.

Sales provides specific pass modification options. These include the ability to re-assign a swipe_no to the pass, void the pass, un-void the pass and enter individual blackout dates/times. Any time an individual blackout date/time is entered for the pass a Blackout Reason is required. This dialog is found by selecting a pass from within the Pass Inquiry > Modify button for a guest.

An operator must have security to perform these functions. The related Sales security settings are:
Sales – Allow Pass Swipe (entering a Swipe-No on the dialog above)
Sales – Allow Voiding a Pass (entering something in the voided by and for fields)
Sales – Allow Unvoiding a Pass (removing the characters in the voided by and for fields)
Sales – Allow Blocking a Pass (entering an individual blackout date/time range and reason)
Sales – Allow unblocking a Pass (removing the individual blackout date/time range and reason)
