Preparation

1. Download the file c_gimport_4000*.exe in a folder named C:\Program Files\Siriusware\GuestImport on the server, and then double-click on the file to unzip it in that same folder.
2. It can also be configured, like other Salesware applications, to run under Runexe so it can be auto-updated. To do this, open the RunExe.INI file and add the following section, making sure that the LocalPath and UpdatePath settings are correct:

[GuestImport]
ExeName=GuestImport.exe
LocalPath=C:\Program Files\Siriusware\GuestImport\
UpdatePath C:\Program Files\Siriusware\Updates\
CompressEXE=c_gimport_*.exe
IgnoreNetErrors=False
IgnoreLocalErrors=False

3. Save/close the RunExe.INI file
4. If the database name is SiriusSQL, skip this step. If the SQL database is named something other than SiriusSQL, create a GuestImport.INI file and configure the ODBC_DSN and Database settings with the appropriate names. Save the GuestImport.INI file in the GuestImport folder. The GuestImport.INI contains only the following information:

[Data]
ODBC_DSN=<database name>
Database=<database name>

5. Run the Guest Import utility by double-clicking on the GuestImport.exe file and select the Create Import Tables option. This creates the following five tables:
Import_Guests.dbf
Import_Passes.dbf
Pass_Translation.dbf
Import_Tickets.dbf
Ticket_Translation.dbf

6. Close the Guest Import utility.
