Guest import
1. Using Helper utility, Visual FoxPro or any other program that can open .dbf files, open the import_guests.dbf file. Populate this table with guest records that need to be imported into the accesso Siriusware guests table in the SiriusSQL database. The fields in this table equate to fields of the same name in the accesso Siriusware guests and address tables.
Important: Double-check the values entered in these fields because during the import, the information in these fields is used to create new guest and address records.
2. There is a special field called mugshotloc that is used to import guest photos. To import guest photos (.jpg images), enter the full path and filename of the guest photo .jpg in the mugshotloc field for each guest that has a photo on-file. The Guest Import process then imports this image and attaches it as the mug shot for each guest record that includes this piece of information in the mugshotloc field.
3. Do not enter any values into the newguestno, imported or imp_error fields. Guest Import utility fills in these fields during the import. Once Guest Import utility evaluates a record for importing, it populates the imported field with the current datetime. If the guest record cannot be imported for any reason, it populates the imp_error field with a TRUE value.
4. When importing records, the Guest Import utility ignores and skip over every record that it previously evaluated (has a non-empty imported field). So, previously imported guest records can remain in this table for future reference and guest record matching if importing passes.
5. Guest Import utility populates the newguestno with the guest_no value of this record as it exists in the SiriusSQL database. If using the Keep existing guest numbers option, this value is the same as the current guest_no field value in the import_guests record.
6. During the import, if a guest record cannot be imported, this is logged in the log file.
