accesso provides a number of free licenses for use in testing salespoints. When configured as a test salespoint, you are able to use the salespoint to test any module. This is very useful for testing out a new item tree, printing tickets, testing the ability to take photos, etc., before actually deploying the salespoint. However, nothing gets written to the database except for scheduling activity (BookEZ) and validation (SalesEZ), so ensure that you do not perform these operations, because they can affect your live data! To use a test salespoint with only training data defeats the reason for using a test salespoint, which is to test out a new salespoint before going live with the data.

 

Warning: Do not create bookings from a test salespoint because these bookings actually exist in your live pod and private schedules. Furthermore, these bookings do not have a link the original sale, so canceling/refunding these bookings is not possible.

 

Note: With Salesware version 4.0.58 and later, closeout, dn_link, ww_email, PassInfo, GiftCard, LiabInfo and RentInfo are no longer forwarded to the server from test salespoints and the Modify Pass dialog no longer modifies passes from test salespoints.
