LicenseManager application is the software component built into SysManager that is used to control licensing. All changes to licensing must be made through SysManager, as described previously. SysManager reads the Siriusware.LIC license file, checking to ensure that the client number in the license file matches the client number in the database; if so, it populates the licensing grid with Owned numbers and ensures that only the allowed numbers and types of licenses can be assigned to salespoints. When changes are saved, SysManager writes the salespoint licensing information to the SiriusSQL database, where it is read by the salespoints when they start up. If the salespoint is attempting to use a module for which it is not licensed, an error message is generated.
