System maintenance

System maintenance consists of a series of tasks and precautions that keep Salesware running efficiently and accurately. Though accesso does whatever it can to safeguard your data through good programming, it is your responsibility to further protect your data by ensuring that you do the following:

• Keep a safe and recent back up of your data at all times. This includes not only your database, but layouts, .INI files and any other Salesware components that you customize.

• Create a backup whenever performing system maintenance tasks, such as software updates or execution of SQL scripts against the database.

• Run regular system maintenance routines.

• Take precautions when strange behavior or error messages arise.
