Perform Get Max Keys on server

You should also perform Get Max Keys once a month or if you ever encounter a “primary key violation” or some other duplicate key violation error message when a salespoint attempts to forward data to the server. (It is not necessary to perform this after re-indexing the database.)

Get Max Keys re-initiates the key field number to be assigned to the next new record to eliminate duplicate record problems in your server data files.

To perform Get Max Keys on your server:

1. Go to SysManager > Utilities > Data Maintenance.

2. Click the Max Keys on Server button.

3. Click Yes to click through the Confirm dialog.

4. The max keys operation begins. A message dialog provides indication of status.

Note: Do not end task during data maintenance tasks. If you suspect that the process has frozen your computer, call accesso Siriusware Technical Support for consultation.

5. When the process is finished, you are returned to the Data Maintenance dialog.

6. Click the Done button to return to the SysManager user interface.
