The process works best if you collect your data before beginning to enter anything into SysManager. That way you can get a comprehensive and global overview of your booking data, assemble a complete collection of all the information that you need and ensure that the system is set up with organization, rather than piecemeal.
Designate a particular notebook or spreadsheet to collect the data necessary to set up your system. You need to gather the following types of data for the initial setup of SysManager:
Type of Data | Description | Required/optional | Applies to? |
Setting security | Settings that determine which features of the system will be accessible to whom. | Optional | Privates and pods |
Entering lesson types | To group products in the schedule and sort them for custom reporting. Lesson types are another way to group products in the schedule and sort them for custom reporting. | Required (at least one) | Privates and pods |
Required guest fields | You can require the entry of certain guest information for all guest products or by individual guest product. | Optional | Privates and pods |
| Resources into which guests can be booked. | Required (for pod booking) | |
| Information about each pod’s availability and limits. | Required | |
| The actual products that will be sold in conjunction with a pod booking. | Required | |
In order to inform you about the nature of the necessary information for each area of the Activity/Facility Scheduling module, there are references to sections of this document that give further information. You can also refer to the SysManager, Sales and ReportManager documents for comprehensive summaries of all screens and fields in those modules.
