Setting up your hardware and network prior to the ProtoBase installation date:
On the ProtoBase PC:
1. Configure the PC with the static IP address that you provided to Elavon.
2. Ensure the PC connects with the Internet.
3. Install the latest Windows SP and critical updates.
4. Install WinZip.
5. Install PCAnywhere, Terminal Services or Remote Desktop Connection.
6. If using a firewall on your network, be sure port 443 is open to allow outgoing traffic. Port 443 does not need to be open to allow ingoing traffic.
