All salespoints connect to the interface PC via TCP/IP (see following figure). The interface PC is connected to the hotel property management server serially via a null modem cable. The hotel property management server’s serial port is configured to be a Micros 8700 interface. Because the Folio Charge module interface communicates using the Micros 8700 interface standard, any property management system that can be interfaced with a Micros 8700 system can be used with the Folio Charge interface.
