4.3 Salesware .INI Settings Reference : Configuration (.INI) settings

.INI settings are used to configure Salesware. The following applications read an .INI settings file upon startup; the .INI settings are used by the application to set its configurable parameters:

• Sales

• Runexe

• SysManager

• ReportManager

• Pool Service

• SalesEZ

• BookEZ

• TallyEZ

• RentEZ

The majority of .INI settings are used in Sales. The global and group .INI functionality available from SysManager is used to manage Sales .INI settings so that they do not need to be maintained from each individual salespoint. Global .INI functionality is described in the section on Sales .INI settings.

If you do not explicitly assign a value to an .INI setting, the default is used. Defaults are “hardcoded” into the software and can only be overridden by explicitly assigning a different value in one of the .INI files.
