You can limit the number of a particular product that is sold within a specified period by item, category, department, lesson type, lesson category and/or lesson location. This functionality allows resorts to ensure that a certain number of instructors who teach both privates and groups are reserved for group bookings. Instructor availability can vary by days, times, locations and so on.

Lesson category, type or location Max4Sale limits prevent the sale from proceeding if a limit would be exceeded by the sale, unlike product-specific Max4Sale limits, which simply display a warning.

Max4Sale capability is primarily used with private bookings – Max4Sale capability is redundant in many areas with group booking because pods already limit the number that can be booked. However, with pod booking you might want to set Max4Sale limits for lesson type or product.

 

If you have three pods and you sell different products into those pods and you want to limit each pod to ten a day, but not sell more than twenty total of the product or lesson type.

 

So think about your products and how they interact and what sort of limits, if any, you would like to place on the sale of certain products or groups of products within specified periods.
