You want to schedule Instructor time so that you can make your Instructors available or unavailable depending on their circumstances. You can schedule time that is off, requested time off (in other words, the Instructor comes in to teach a requested private but otherwise is off) or available.

You can book all Instructors days off, group lesson times, doctor appointments, etc. Predominantly, it is events or time that is unrelated to selling products that is scheduled here. These events show up in the Scheduler tab in Sales. SysManager defines whatever lesson types are available to be scheduled here (see Entering lesson types). Planned events show at the top of the band and scheduled events show at the bottom of the band.

 

Note: This feature is not to be used to schedule Instructors for bookings, as bookings are products that are sold for money and are booked through Sales in conjunction with the sale of a product.

 

To schedule Instructor time, go to Activities > Privates and the Instructor Schedules dialog is displayed.

 

Note: This dialog is the same as the Scheduler tab available in Sales when booking items. These two dialogs are essentially the same – the Sales Scheduler tab is optimized for selling and booking quickly. The Instructor Schedules dialog in SysManager is optimized for managing and viewing Instructor schedules.
