Obtaining a DIN setting with guest-owned boots

At times, guests who own their own boots need to rent skis only. In order to have the Siriusware Inc. rental system calculate a DIN setting in this situation, a special rental inventory item needs to be configured and added to the guest’s electronic Rental form.
1. Create a NEW entry in Rental Activities > Rental Inventory.
2. Name the new item CUSTOMER BOOTS (or whatever is appropriate).
3. Configure an Equipment Type to be used for the CUSTOMER BOOTS inventory item (for example, Customer Boots) and select this type for the CUSTOMER BOOTS inventory item.

Note: The Equipment Type configured and selected must have a B entered for the Special Action.

4. Select the Equipment Level of *CUSTOMER* (configure this Equipment Level if necessary).
5. Save the new item.
6. Print multiple copies of the equipment label for the CUSTOMER BOOTS rental inventory item and distribute these labels to each tech bench.

When a guest has his/her own boots, the tech scans the CUSTOMER BOOTS barcode. Once the CUSTOMER BOOTS inventory item has been added to the electronic Rental form, the tech may enter the boot sole length from the customer boot in order to have the system calculate a DIN setting.
