Rental Form layouts can range anywhere from a small sticker that is adhered to a larger pre-printed rental card to a full 8½ x 11 sheet of paper containing all rental information including the rental liability waiver.

Rental forms with unique Rental form barcodes can be pre-printed by a printing vendor and subsequently scanned or hand-entered during the sales process in order to associate a unique Rental form number with each rental transaction.

Or, Rental forms with Rental form barcodes may be printed during the finalization of a sale by configuring a layout for Ticket 1, Ticket 2, Voucher 1 or Voucher 2. The Rental form number in this situation may be manually assigned by the operator or automatically assigned by the Salesware Rentals module by using the unique transaction number associated with each rental item in the sale.

Or, Rental forms with Rental form barcodes may be generated by starting contracts on a saved sale by using the Rental Contract layout option. This option usually involves having the Salesware Rentals module assign the rental form number automatically by using the unique transaction number associated with the sale of the rental item.

Rental forms with their assigned Rental form barcodes (assigned at the time of sale or at the time contracts were started) may also be printed out of the TechStation via RentPrint application after equipment has been checked-out to the guest in order to capture all of the necessary rental information such as guest information, equipment information, DIN settings and due back dates and times.

 

 

Note: To trigger a search of a Rental form within the TechStation, a %RF must precede the form number within the barcode printed on the Rental form. Alternatively, a % may be programmed into the TechStation scanners and the tech stations can be set up to assume RF if no prefix is scanned. (Typically, the assumed prefix is always set to RI, which corresponds to the rental equipment barcodes and RF is always included within the Rental form barcode.)
