To mark a piece of equipment as Lost or Stolen, hand-enter the Barcode Number for the equipment (because scanning isn’t an option, as the equipment is missing) and select either the Mark ‘Lost’ or Mark ‘Stolen’ option. If the equipment is currently checked out to a guest, the RentEZ setting CheckInOnLostOrStolen determines whether or not lost or stolen equipment is marked as checked-in (returned) on the current Rental form before it is marked as lost or stolen.
To mark lost equipment as found, scan the equipment barcode and select Mark ‘Found’. To mark stolen equipment as recovered, scan the equipment barcode and select Mark ‘Recovered’.
