Venue templates are used to define the seating configuration. The easiest way to start is to first locate the seating charts used for a particular venue. Working off of physical charts helps to streamline the Venue template configuration. Once charts have been located, the process begins in SysManager > Activities > Reserved Seating > Venue Configuration.
