Booking a Series
1. Start by clicking the Reserved Seating main action button in Sales or the Reserved Seating item tree node in E-Commerce module.
2. Click on the Display Series button and select the desired Series from the list of options.
3. Select the required number of Shows by checking the box next to the name of the Show.
Note: Only one Show per Production may be selected in order to prevent the accidental selection of the same show/performer for the Series.
4. Click on the Select Seats for Series button.
5. Enter the desired Quantities and Ticket Types, plus any Level or Section requirements (specifying a Level and/or Section is optional) and click Find Available Seats.
Note: If a selected ticket type requires validation, the member (pass) number can be entered in the corresponding Validate box during the seat selection process. The number entered carries over into Sales or the E-Commerce cart for validation.
Note: A Series does not display in the Reserved Seating module if there are not enough show dates in the future to satisfy the number of shows requirement. In addition, you are unable to see shows in the past when choosing a series in the Action tab of the item record.
6. The system returns, “the best available” seat block, but to see additional blocks click the More Options… button.
Note: The magnifying tool can be used to get a better view of the seat map.
7. Select a seat block and press the Next button.
8. Repeat the seat selection process for each show by pressing the Find Available Seats button and selecting the Best Available or an Alternative block of seats.
Note: If the selected Series is configured with Same Seats Each Show in its Action Specifics, the end-user only needs to go through the Find Available Seats process one time as the same seats are assigned for each Show in the Series. If purchased under the Series - Choose Seats Each Show option, then the customer must select seats for each show within the series.
9. Once all seats for the shows have been selected, click the Complete Purchase button.
10. In Sales, collect any other required data and Save or Finalize. In E-Commerce module, continue the checkout process.
Note: The seat selection and ticket purchase process must be completed before the timers count down to zero or the seats are released! Values are returned to the Reserved Seating module from the appropriate salespoint group. Values include Number of Seat Blocks Returned, Best Available Hold Time, Alternate Hold Time and Minimum and Maximum Seats available for sale.
