Matrix classes are not necessary to the creation and use of matrix templates. However, they can be useful for filtering a long list of matrix templates when editing or assigning templates. If, for example, you had numerous matrix templates for shirts within your long list of templates, then a matrix class of shirt could be used to filter the list to show only those that applied to shirts. Or, if you had ski boots from Atomic, Rossignol and Lange and a matrix template for each, then a matrix class of ski boots would be used to display only these three template choices when editing or assigning ski boot templates.

 

Go to SysManager > Activities > Inventory Lists > Matrix Template Classes and create New as needed.
