Creating items that can be scanned
 
Beginning with version 4.1, inventory tracking and matrix items require a RET license for Advanced Inventory Management on each Retail salespoint. There is a method however that allows non-inventory items to be scanned at a salespoint.
1. On the Item Setup dialog enter the barcode (UPC) number into the User Defined field on the General tab.

Then, to scan the item at sales, you need to have your salespoint set up to work with MultiKey Lookup.

Note: There is no Inventory Tracking, this simply allows scanning of items that are barcoded. Also, the scanner is not programed with %R.
