Marking inventory as damaged

Occasionally inventory items are damaged and must be moved out of active inventory.

To mark inventory as damaged:
1. Go to SysManager > Activities > Inventory Activities > Damaged Inventory. The Damaged Inventory dialog is displayed.
2. Select the FROM Location from which to the move inventory from the FROM Location dropdown menu.
3. Select the DCI for the damaged item using the DCI dropdown menus.

Note: You can use the Show choices (Nick Name or Description) to choose how you would like the items to list in the dropdown menu.

Note: You can use the Filter choices to select which products to include in the drop-down menu (All, Tracking, Matrix).

4. Select the Remember Last DCI check box if you would like the current DCI to display the next time you enter this dialog.
5. Enter the UPC or barcode for the damaged item in the Scan field (if you don’t have the DCI information). You can also use a scanner to enter the information into the Scan field.
6. Click the Mark Damaged button to mark this item as damaged.

Note: Marking items as damaged simply moves them from their existing location to a location called DAMAGED. You can also mark an item or items as damaged by doing a transfer for that item into DAMAGED−see Inventory transfer. You can also take items out of the DAMAGED location using a transfer.
