Salesware Reporting : Introduction

Introduction

This document describes the built-in Salesware reports that are provided with the core product and which are used by most clients in their day-to-day operations. Appendices are provided that include a glossary of reporting terms and descriptions of end-of-day close out procedures. A comprehensive listing of all Salesware reports is available in Appendix B: Listing of Salesware reports.
Salesware module provides the following types of reports:
Financial reports
Sales performance reports
Guest reports
Modules reports – Especially for Reservations, Retail, Rentals, Activity/Facility Scheduling, Private Instruction and Memberships/Passes
Custom reports

This document discusses the first three types – financial reports, Sales performance reports and guest reports. Modules reports are documented in the appropriate Salesware modules documents (for example, Salesware Reservations, Salesware Retail and Salesware Rentals). Most custom reports are based on Microsoft Reporting Services functionality and are discussed in the Salesware User Guide for Advanced Users – not in this document. Other advanced reporting functionality that is described in the Salesware User Guide for Advanced Users includes:
Custom filters in ReportManager
Using Excel
Creating a reporting database using replication
Reporting with custom filters and exporting data
Linking security roles to salespoint and operator groups to enable report filtering
