The Close Drawer Report is used when the closed drawer method of closing out the day is used. See Appendix B in the User and Ticketing Guide for Beginners document for more information. The Close Drawer Report allows you to view submitted closed drawers from the salespoints and finalize the drawers.

The other method of closing out the day is cash drawer close out. Using close drawer close out, the operator must close out the salespoint by using the Close Out button at the salespoint. Salespoints can be closed out by operator or by salespoint. Venues such as food service often use close out by salespoint because salespoints are shared among multiple operators. In most other cases close out is done by operator.

You can select how Closed Drawer Reporting is configured from SysManager > Preferences > Company Information. This information is rarely changed and are only changed at strategic points (initial implementation, beginning of a new year, between seasons, etc.), if at all.
