View Item Detail Report in Sales

The View Item Detail Report is stored on a SQL Reporting Services server. It is designed to be run from within the Sales application after the following settings are added to the Sales32c.INI file:

Note: The View Item Detail Report does not run under Reporting Services. It is only available from Sales.

[ReportingServices]
ReportServer=http://[servername]/reportserver
ItemDetailsReport=ViewItemDetail

The ReportServer is the URL for your SQL Reporting Services report server. However, if you have installed Reporting Services using standard default settings, you should only need to change the [servername]. ItemDetailsReport is the name of the report that is displayed when View Details is selected. To view the report in Sales, right-click on the item and if the ItemDetailsReport setting is not empty, there is a View Details button which opens the report in a browser control. For more information on SQL Reporting Services, go to http://google.siriusware.com and search on, “Reporting Services reports.” To see sample reports, go to https://portal.siriusware.com/informationportal/ProfessionalServices/tabid/118/Default.aspx (requires log-in).
Sales submits three parameters to the specified report: DCI, datetime and sale_no, where DCI is from the item the operator is right-clicking on, datetime is the date/time set with the global DateTime button or the current date/time if none has been set and sale_no is the sale number if there is a recalled sale active on the Sales screen.
The report returns the following information: Date/Time, Item Quantity, Item Description, Capacity Used, Specials/Discounts applied to the item, Total Extension or cost of the item, Guest Name (if available), Modifier Description, Modifier Guest Name (if available and different than the main item), Total Capacity Used, Capacity Available and Capacity Remaining. Rows in the report are either in gray text, indicating a finalized transaction, black text indicating a saved transaction or red text with a gray background indicating a saved transaction that is currently active on the Sales screen.

Note: This report was designed to only work with Points4Sale items.
