SQL replication site restrictions

SQL replication site restrictions are similar to WAN validation site restrictions. The difference is that the validation of the ticket or pass is done locally as opposed to re-routing the validation back to the originating site. With SQL replication, all ticket and pass records are replicated between all resorts that share programs, thus all resorts have a local copy of the pass and access records. This also means that the access templates and pass action specifics must be configured at each local resort for all of the shared programs.
When a ticket or pass is scanned, the site number embedded in the ticket or pass is verified against the local site number (configured in SysManager > Preferences > Company Information). If the ticket or pass was created locally, then the validation proceeds without any site restriction checking. If the ticket or pass was not created locally (the embedded site number does not match the local site number), then the site restrictions for that particular DCI are checked to make sure that tickets or passes with that site number embedded are allowed to be validated at the current location (site).
The configuration is the same as with WAN validation site restrictions in that the non-local ticket and pass sites must be added to the Allowed Sites pane within the Create Access Record > Template > Remote Validation tab or Create Pass > Action Specifics > Remote Validation tab.

Note: In order to activate the SQL replication site restriction check, the following .INI setting must be added to the [Preferences] section of the SalesEZ.INI file: EmbeddedSiteNo=YES.

Warning: Caution must be taken when using the SQL replication site restriction check. Using this restriction means that all access, pass, addit_no, swipe_no (that are not standard sixteen digit card numbers) and guest numbers must be embedded with either the local site number or one of the shared program site numbers. Without the last three digits of these numbers matching one of the configured sites, the validation fails. The option to import non-standard Salesware numbers for use in validation programs is no longer an option when this restriction check is activated!
