Cascading validation (auto-validation and validation with a DCI option)

Cascading validation allows a guest to be issued one physical card and have that single card be used for multiple validation programs within the same operating season or even throughout several operating seasons. When cascading validation is active, the number scanned (or swiped) is checked. If the pass record scanned/swiped is not valid, other pass records for the guest are checked until a valid pass for the guest is located or if no valid pass record exists for the guest, the validation fails. They key to cascading validation is selling new pass items to the correct existing guest!
Cascading validation can cut down on material costs as guests do not need to have new cards printed each time they renew their membership/season pass or sign up for a new program. Plus it provides the added benefit of minimizing the number of cards guests must carry in order to participate in multiple programs.
Cascading validation varies slightly based on the type of number sent in for validation.
