Guest preferences for instructor
Instructor characteristics are recorded in order to match Instructors with guest preferences. To set up Instructor characteristics:
1. Access the Prefs 1 tab.
Note: To specify labels for the user-defined fields on the
Prefs 1 tab, see
Captions.
2. Select the Sex of the Instructor from the dropdown menu.
3. Enter the Alpine Level, Snowboard Level, Telemark Level and an Other Level for this Instructor.
Note: Any character can be entered into this field. Most resorts use the single-letter PSIA coding system for rating teaching levels. This field is a greater than or equal to field. The Instructor Level must be greater than or equal to the guest Level to show up in the instructor list during booking.
4. If you are using the two user-defined check boxes, check which apply to this Instructor.
Note: To label these fields, go to the SysManager > Preferences > Private Booking > Captions tab. Use the Check Box 1: and Check Box 2: fields.
5. If you are using the two user defined numeric fields, enter values for this Instructor.
Note: To label these fields, go to the SysManager > Preferences > Private Booking > Captions tab. Use the Numeric 1: and Numeric 2: fields.
6. Enter the First Day of employment at your resort for this Instructor.
7. Enter the number of years of Prior Experience for this Instructor.
Note: Cite the years of experience for this Instructor prior to hiring date. Prior Experience is used in conjunction with First Day to calculate experience. The Instructor must have at least the number of years of experience that the guest prefers or requires to show up in the selection list.
8. Access the Prefs 2 tab.
9. Select the value that applies to this Instructor for List 1.
10. Select the value that applies to this Instructor for List 2.
11. Select the value that applies to this Instructor for List 3.
Note: The labels and values for List 1, List 2 and List 3 are specified in the SysManager > Preferences > Private Booking > Captions tab.
