Enter guest preferences
You must define Guest preferences in order to match the Guest with the appropriate Private Instruction instructor. Guest preference values are compared to instructor preferences values to sort and filter the list according to the Guest preferences.
Note: The labels on the user-defined fields in the
Schedule Filter tab are defined in
SysManager >
Preferences >
Private Bookings (see
Captions). They are identical to the fields on the
Prefs tabs of the
Instructor dialog in SysManager (see
Guest preferences for instructor). To set the default values for these fields, see
Default guest preferences.
To specify guest preferences:
1. Access the Schedule Filter tab on the Guest Information entry dialog.
2. Use the Last/First buttons to sort the Preferred Instructor: list by last or first name.
3. Click the Request button if the Guest has specifically requested an instructor or the Non-Request button if that is not the case.
4. Select the Preferred Instructor. If no instructor is preferred, select --No Preference--.
Note: For the rest of the fields on this tab, use the N/A/Preferred/ Required buttons to indicate if the Guest prefers or requires a specific value for the associated field or doesn’t have a preference. To change the button status, click the button until the desired status appears on the button. Choices include the values listed in the following table:
Value | Description |
N/A | Guest does not have a preference regarding this criterion. During booking, instructors display in the instructor list with no sorting or filtering related to this preference. |
Preferred | Guest prefers this criterion value but does not require it. During booking, those instructors who match this preference are listed first in the instructor list. |
Required | Guest requires this preference be met. During booking, only those instructors who exactly match this preference show in the instructor list. |
5. Select a preferred/required Lesson Location, if one exists. Select –No Preference— if the Guest has no preference regarding Lesson Location.
Note: You can require that a
Lesson Location preference be entered when booking a private booking. See
User must select a location.
6. Select the value in List 1 that the Guest prefers or requires or do not select a value if the Guest doesn’t have a preference.

7. Select the Start Time that the Guest prefers or requires or do not select a value if the Guest doesn’t have a preference.
8. Select the gender that the Guest prefers or requires or do not select a value if the Guest doesn’t have a preference.
9. Use the button to select a preferred or required discipline: Alpine, Snowboard, Telemark, Other.
10. Select Yes or No if the Guest prefers or requires a specific Check Box 1 value.

11. Select Yes or No if the Guest prefers or requires a specific Check Box 2 value.

12. Enter a value if the Guest prefers or requires a specific Numeric 1 value.

13. Enter a value if the Guest prefers or requires a specific Numeric 2 value.

14. Enter a number of years of Experience that the Guest prefers or requires in an instructor.
Note: Experience is the years of experience for this instructor to date. An instructor’s prior experience is added to years of experience since instructor’s first day to get Experience for an instructor.
Note: This is a greater than or equal to field. The instructor must have at least the number of years of experience that the Guest prefers or requires.
15. Select the value in List 2 that the Guest prefers or requires or do not select a value if the Guest doesn’t have a preference.
