Day Definition

The day definition is based on minutes since midnight.

Example:

The first line says that if the checkout occurred between midnight (12:00 AM) and 12:29 PM (749 minutes since midnight) AND the specified return time isn’t before 11:00 AM AND the duration of the rental is more than 0 minutes, the rental day is counted as a FULL DAY.
The second line says that if the checkout occurred between 12:30 PM (750 minutes since midnight) and 2:30 PM (870 minutes since midnight) AND the specified return time is any time after 12:00 AM AND the duration of the rental is more than 0 minutes, the rental day is counted as a HALF DAY.
The third line says that if the checkout occurred between 2:31 PM (871 minutes since midnight) and 11:59 PM (1439 minutes since midnight) AND the specified return time is any time after 12:00 AM AND the duration of the rental is more than 0 minutes, the rental day is counted as a NO CHARGE. Essentially, any checkout before 12:29 PM is a Full Day rental, any checkout between 12:30 PM and 2:29 PM is a Half Day rental, and any checkout after 2:30 PM is Free. (This is a good example for sites that allow guests to pick up their skis in the afternoon before their first ski day.) The type of day (FULL DAY, HALF DAY, NO CHARGE in this scenario) is used later in your Dynamic Pricing Rules and is used as part of the line item description for modifiers in Sales.
