The TechStation application also uses templates that can be customized in order to make small changes, such as the labeling of certain fields or the text of error messages. With each new RentEZ update, a new set of TechStation templates overwrites the existing templates. The previous templates are saved in the ProgramData\Pool\RentEZ folder.

The TechStation can also use media files so that media clips, such as sounds, can be inserted whenever it is necessary to alert the TechStation operator of certain situations such as overdue returns and exchange ineligibilities. These files are stored by default within the ProgramData\Pool\RentEZ folder.
