ForceRentalCheckIn=TRUE
Rental contract items may be added as part of a reservation for either individuals or groups. In this situation, non-rental items such as lift and lesson tickets need to be finalized, while rental contract items need to be maintained in a saved state in order to collect payment for the rentals at the end of a guest’s visit. The .INI setting that enables this behavior is:
ForceRentalCheckIn=TRUE
With this setting in place, if a reservation or sale that includes rental contracts is finalized and the equipment associated with those contracts has not been returned, the operator is prompted to split off all of the items except for the active rental items in order to finalize all but the active rentals. This occurs both when rental contract items are sold independently and when rental contract items are sold as modifiers to other items. This allows tickets to be printed, without losing the ability to collect additional payment on the sale based on the rental activity of the guest.
Note: This setting is also helpful in non-reservation scenarios, because it prevents rental contracts from being finalized without all equipment returned.
