The Basic Inventory Management process overview:

1. Key Fob is scanned or inventory number is hand-entered in Sales.
2. Sales detects an RI prefix (a reader or function key is configured to prepend the prefix).
3. Sales makes a call to RentEZ application to determine status of inventory.
4. RentEZ returns status, Auto-Sales Rule (macro), form_no and saleinfo data.
5. Sales processes the Auto-Sale Rule to automate actions, such as the auto-sale of a check-out item or a return deposit item and/or the display of specific data in salesinfo.
6. Upon finalization of sale, generated by Step five, Sales makes a call to RentEZ application.
7. For a check-out type of sale, Sales need to have RentEZ generated the r_header record along with a check-out action (r_hist) for inventory scanned.
8. For a return type of sale, Sales need to have RentEZ generate a return action for the exiting r_header record.
