Barcodes
Clients have several choices on how to apply the appropriate barcodes to the inventory items (assuming RFID is not being used).
• Create barcode labels with a label printer
• Have an outside company create barcode stickers that can be placed on items (i.e., tamper proof stickers on iPod Audio Tour devices)
• Create luggage tag type labels that get attached to items
When creating labels with Siriusware software, you can use the following chart to pull the fields needed.
Note: Some of these include RI in the barcode. This can change depending if you have the barcode scanner programmed with an RI prefix.
Rental Barcode + RI | bc_code128("RI" + transform(r_invent.barcode)) |
Barcode Printed | "Barcode#: RI" + transform(r_invent.barcode) |
Inventory Description | alltrim(r_invent.descrip) |
Asset Number + RI | bc_code128("%RI" + transform(r_invent.asset_no)) |
Asset Number Text | "Asset #: RI" + transform(r_invent.asset_no) |
Rental Barcode text | transform(r_invent.barcode)) |
