Item purchase date restrictions
In order to schedule Shows, yet prevent tickets from going on-sale until X date, enter Available for Sale dates on the item’s Restrictions tab. Available for Sale dates are also displayed during the booking process for end-users to designate member ticket on-sale dates versus general ticket on-sale dates.
Note: A member ticket is simply an item configured with Forced Validation that links to the Show’s Production.
Example:
Two Single Show ticket items are configured for the Matisyahu Production. One item is sold at a Retail rate, has no validation and goes on sale Oct 1, 2012. This is the Non-Member ticket.
The other item is sold at a discounted rate, has forced validation by a member pass DCI and goes on sale Sept 1, 2012. This is the Member ticket.
On the Show Calendar, the end-user sees Member tickets for Matisyahu available on Sept 1, 2012 and Non-Member tickets available on Oct 1, 2012.
