Reservations are booked for tour event items in the normal Resource Scheduling fashion through call-center or reservationist. At the actual booking stage of the process it is unlikely that your reservation staff assign a docent, however this can be done. In most cases, a volunteer coordinator assigns a docent at a later time. In order to assign a docent you need to:
1. Forward the transaction information to the booking schedule, so you must first Recall the reservation. You are prompted by a message alerting you that the reservation must be recalled as a reminder in order to Assign Staff.
 
 
2. Right click on the resource and select Recall. The booking turns to a yellow color.
3. Right click on the resource and select Assign Staff.
4. The Information Dialog: appears. This dialog allows the user to select and/or adjust preset docent attributes for the tour.
 
 
5. Hit Save.
6. Select the appropriate, available docent, and then hit OK.
 
 
The selected docent’s name appears at the top of the schedule as well as within the reservation.
 
 
If you need to reassign a docent you can right click on the scheduled resource and select Assign Staff. A Re-Assign? message dialog appears. You can then select to remove the docent or re-assign to another docent.
