In SysManager, the user creates records representing the actual items held in inventory.  While there are many fields that can be configured, the most important are:

 

Once the above fields have been set for an item, the item can be sold in the system regardless of whether any costs or inventory levels have been added. 

 

Note: Inventory costs are only created when items are brought into inventory through transactional records like purchase order records or inventory adjustments. No static cost is associated with the item because the cost can change with each order.
